Must be that Strib endorsement that's given him such a push down. When the guy who finishes 3rd in what was called a 2 candidate race for DFL U.S. Senate endorsement a couple years ago gets behind you, then it's time to start worrying - especially when that guy was supposed to be one of the 2.

Minnesota it seems will safely be in DFL hands in November. But it also seems that republicans will have made gains also! mostly in the south part of the country. Hopefully they can declare Mission Accomplished and go back to thinking its the 1950's.

I think the Star Tribune Minnesota poll lacks credibility.

Emmer ran for the Republican endorsement as a right-wing crank, and won the endorsement. But after that, in the true blue state of Minnesota, he needed to move more toward the center to win the governor's race. He did not do that, and his campaign staff should have known better. Now Horner is siphoning off moderate voters and Dayton will win in a cakewalk.

The Dems are calling Horner a Republican and they in turn are calling Horner a Dem-lite. Seems like the right choice to me.

Horner is a "progressive" that will raise your taxes. This race is a 2 person race, Emmer & Dayton. If you want larger government, more intrusion into you life from the grocery store to the gas station, to the home you live in, vote for Dayton. If you want to shrink bloated government and want less taxation, vote Emmer. But you must get out and vote.
