Parents MOST CERTAINLY SHOULD WITHDRAW THEIR CHILDREN, but not to protest of Bernedeia Johnson's recommendation to close Minneapolis North. Parents need to withdraw their children in response to the substandard and reprehensible lack of education for their children. Parents need to take personal responsibility for their children's education - and vote with their feet. The plummeting numbers at north point to parents understanding that their children are being short-changed and their is no future for them should they continue.

Stop wasting everyone's time with your race-baiting press stunts and do something constructive to help improve the education system in Minneapolis. It's a crime that Minneapolis tax-payers foot the bill to the tune of $15,000 a year per student for such pathetic results.

More blame in the wrong direction. The North side gets more money and resources than schools in other parts of the city. What's the missing link here? Parental involvement, lack of respect for education and extremely volatile living conditions. Would someone please stand up and take responsibility?

Allow faculty the ability to correct errant behavior. If they don't want to learn, throw them out. 2) get rid of teacher unions. 3) cut funding by 50 %

"As the engine behind the 'Choice is Yours' program, the Minneapolis NAACP may have unwittingly played a role in the mass exodus of students from north Minneapolis to suburban districts."
