...to keep doing the same thing again and again, yet expect different results. Laws need to change, in this instance!

system needs to change to the "carrot and stick" approach. The carrot is supervised release. The stick would be doing the full time if you bust it and that would carry on to any other crime you are convicted of no exceptions.

People (mostly liberals) --make the excuse that we cant afford to keep career criminals locked up...and at $50,000 a year...its a case that can be made.... UNTIL you think about it.. A criminal on the street draws resources as police have to investigate and prosecute all of the crimes this person -WHO HAS SHUNNED SOCIETIES RULES-commits. If this person is on dope--its daily that he commits crimes to support his/her habit. Well that alone is thousands of dollars...but then think about the social security these people draw ---the welfare--the section eight---the EBT cards...it goes on and on...and with all this we are WAY over the $50000 to keep the criminal locked up. Now the final kick in the seat comes when these dopes procreate and society has to pay to raise the kids...provide housing...food..diapers...WELL LIBERALS... WE ARE PAYING WAY MORE THAN $50000... Lock them up...BRING THE THREE STRIKE LAW TO MINNESOTA...And end this BS..

Actually us liberals want more early child hood education funding to save money in the prison system. 1:8 return on the investment. You would be hard pressed to find a liberal that wants repeat offenders on the street anymore than a conservative.

Minneapolis has a murder and serious crime rate 50% higher than all of NYC. I wonder why? NYC has 50% more cops per capita and a place called Rikers Island.

The legislator actually said that. How long would he look at this before he decided it should change? maybe he plans to hold hearings all over the state(perdiems for all).
