community organizer thinks the Stimulus was the right thing, then that's good enough for me. Community organizer-turned President worked for the White House. Didn't it?

Now ask yourself: How many jobs did they actually net out of that $5.5 million? Not temporary jobs, but jobs that will still be there in 5-10 years. $3.66 million to pay for/subsidize heating bills and pay for retro fitting homes with new windows and insulation. The money spent was all on kind of feel good type programs that are hard to attack, but is it a recipe for recovery long-term?

In your mind how is turning the goverment into a short-term temp agency going to lead to long-term recovery? Many of these stimulous projects are only 30-60 day projects, than what? They are counted as a job created or saved and then back to unemployed.

Wealth is created by taking a raw material and through adding labor increasing it's value by turning it into something people need and want to pay for in excess of the cost to produce it. None of this "stimulus money" created wealth. All that it did was transfer existing wealth from one group of citizens to another. In some cultures that is still called theft.
