Then you tax each and every one of them -- not just the ones you don't agree with. You see, this document called the US Constitution covers a lot of areas in this regard whether it is Freedom of Religion, Freedom of Speech, and Equal treatment under the law. The amazing thing about the US Constitution is that all of those protections exist in our founding document -- even when they are inconvenient for you whiny libs. The Irony is that you whiny libs get to be whiny because of that old document that you don't like so much any more. Consider carefully how much of that document you really want to do away with because I am sure that a strong majority of americans would agree with the whiny lib protections...

if they include mandatory life in prison for pedifile priests in the same legislation that specifies marriage is between a man and a woman.

I love the comments from those who preach tolerance out of one side of their mouths while rooting for the destruction of those they disagree with out of the other. Go ahead and tax my church. Heck, burn me at the stake if you can. It changes nothing. God Bless.

Ahh, not a good comparison since the last census showed segregation is pretty much the norm in the here and now.........also, it is pretty much peers, NOT society, sending messages to young people about their sexuality. Indeed, TV shows/hollywood/media, etc, have made positive gay roles/stories trendy and fashionable..... The trouble remains "gay pride" is oxymoronic, as I rarely meet a young person who seems genuinely proud of being gay. Gay adolescents seem very uncomfortable in dealing their same sex tendencies, and oddly, it almost seems worse in the recent "MTV-internet" decades. It is perplexing.

I was appalled at the way the home plate umpire called balls and stikes at the Twins game on Thurs eve.....if that is the best they can do it is time to replace the ball and strike calling with a machine.....that way at least the balls and strikes will be called FAIRLY.... mg

I think this church and state issue has been covered by Jesus himself.....if the state makes laws that is one thing....but the church has separate rules.....If two people willingly want to enter into a civil contract....I think that is the business of the individuals and the state....I do not see the harm...contracts are made every day....no harm no foul.... To the church this is not a contract it is a sacrament....so why not keep the two separate.....
