It really should be just a charter school rather than a state school. It is lousy. Most of its students are not even college ready when it comes to math -- despite the elite budget for an elite school. There's nothing like throwing the taxpayers' money down the toilet. The Arts High School is an embarrassment and should not be a state school. If it were made a charter school as it should be, it would be just one of many bad charter schools.

We need some turnover in the legislature because the legislators never cut the funding of those that abuse the tax dollar. The Governor also does nothing. The real problem starts at the top. Both the legislators and the Governor have gone to the dogs. Imagine, if Pawlenty can't take care of little problems like this in Minnesota, imagine what a disaster he would be as president.

This country has really gone down the drain since child labor laws were enacted and enough is enough. Our labor market and economy have suffered greatly under the weight of not being able to pay children $1.25 a day and it's destroying everything conservatives stand for. Get rid of the schools and get back to work.

All this coddling of alternatives and no results. Who would have known they'd be this determined to throw away this much money just to break the teacher's union.

He's just making money, right? Private businesses always do a better job than government - health care, education, the military - you name it. It's businesses that comes up with innovative ideas, like how to make money by taking tax dollars and pretending that they're using them to educate children. We need to hand over more tax dollars to businesses, because they are smarter than government!
