Greed is good. It built cities, skyscrapers, railroads, and corporations. Go back to academia and your unrated, bottom-tier business school.

Both Ivan Boesky and Michael Milken spent 2 years in jail and a were fined. Not much time for what they did. What was significant about the 80s was not that there were 'criminal' undertakings involving insider trading and everything else. As in today, the receding water revealed all kinds of slimy things on the beach. What was significant is that Wall Street directly took control of the corporate economy through hostile takeovers. They crashed the market twice and took down two big firms, Drexel and Kidder Peabody. The real damage was 'legal.' This review reads like an apologetics for Wall Street, not a review. Propaganda, in other words.

Talent, integrity and wisdom may be valued in business but ethics, morals and values are not. After my job was sent to India I spent two years seeking another. Only when I scrapped my ethics and morals was I able to find another job. Rip all you want but my experience is, be honest about what I believe in and stay unemployeed, tell the company what they want to hear and get a job. Hey, it's just business. And no, I did not lie or fudge on my resume.
