To have play made of this novel and performed at The Guthrie is a wonderful tribute to this wonderful writer. And to this wonderful novel. Congratulations, Louise!

... it was superb. Among the top five plays I've seen at the Guthrie in the last 40 years ~ and I've seen many of the best. Performances by Lee Mark Nelson, Emily Gunyou-Halaas and Sheila Tousey were nearly pitch-perfect. I loved the fact that this is based on a regonal story, unlike some other Guthrie productions like The Home Place. A lot of the story line resonated with us. If you are going to see one play this season, see this one. Not to be missed.
