I don't see a game on the schedule they will win. Northern Illinois is a better team. Time to start the coaching search. Let's hope Maturi isn't on the committee.

Can't really add much more except Brew and Maturi need to be shown the door.

I have to believe it is the coaching that has made the difference in the game. There were too many people on the gopher defense at one time, and too many people in the backfield. Then when you have an offensive line that is bigger and slower than your opponent, and need two yards, why run wide? When it doesn't work once, why try twice more? Then there is the matter of tackling. The gophers just don't seem fundamentally sound.

A good coach rarely goes below .500 The revolving door of asst coaches should be a tell tale sign. It's all about fundamentals, and Brewster doesn't seem to be able to teach the basics.

Too bad the coach can't be the same [brutally honest].

The slant pattern and the bootleg?? What are these strange new plays?.. surely some wizardry from aliens or the product of an offensive prodigy! What do they say about "Fool me once...?" How 'bout fool me 7 times? Yes, the players need to execute, but they need a plan first.

Bruininks has done some very strong things academically for the U but his unfounded affection for Maturi as AD needs to end. Show Maturi the door with Brewster holding it for him, then have Brewster walk out too.

Brewster has the first half of your statement down pat, timetopay. He excels at being brutal.

Brewster hired the guy who turned the Blackshirt defense at Nebraska into a joke...what was it, 76 points allowed against Kansas State? And he's had four offensive coordinators in four years. Recruiting quality may be open to question, but coaching decisions have been flat out atrocious. Bye, Coach Brew...and take Mr. Maturi with you.
